High Power 802.11g G High Gain USB 2.0,
This USB dongle Wi-Fi works great. The sensitivity is at least 10 dB better than normal USB dongle with internal antenna. The good part is that you can attach a directional hi-gain antenna to the RF connector for even longer reach. There is also a mode in the driver software to do SoftAP which means if you are connected to the Internet from a wireline with RJ45 Ethernet 100BT or via 3G cellular data, then this can act as an Access Point to redistribute the signal to other Wi-Fi devices. I use this mode when I connect my notebook PC in tethered mode to my 3G phone and then put this Wi-Fi USB dongle in SoftAP mode and I’ve just created a Wi-Fi hotspot for others to use the Internet thru my 3G data service.

Overall, good product, great price,
I was looking for a USB wireless solution as a tool to help me with my computer repair business. This product was 1 of several that I considered, but I ultimately chose this one based on the reviews, price & overall functionality. After I received it, I tested it out immediately & was pleased with all aspects, with the exception of the installation process. My only issue was that there are 3 installation folders to choose from, & one has to guesstimate which one to use, since the model # is not on the product itself. In addition, after picking the wrong one the first time & finally getting it right on the 2nd try, the model listed in “ADD/REMOVE Programs” is different than the folder names on the install disc. All in all, a very good product, works nicely, but the manufacturer needs to make the installation process a bit clearer, as a newbie would have a problem trying to get this to work based on the documentation & installation folders.

Decent for everyday usage. Bad for gaming.,
Based on my experience using this (it’s been almost 3 months now), it’s very unstable for gaming. The signal strength is not 100%, the computer is placed about 10 feet away (some walls are blocking). My older pci wireless card was able to pick up 100% where as this one gave me half of that. Decent for browsing and checking emails, but if you’re planning to play games through the internet, or streaming movies, forget about it.
